Boston Walk Raises $1 Million for Autism

The 2008 Greater Boston Walk Now for Autism attracted 20,000 participants and raised $1 million for Autism Speaks, an advocacy organization.

The lively event, held October 19th at Suffolk Downs Racetrack in East Boston, MA, featured music, children’s activities, an informational resource fair and abundant refreshments. Arico lent its support by donating gluten- and dairy-free Cookie Bars and snack-sized bags of Cassava Chips

Gluten-Free Blogger Wins Recipe Challenge

Whole Foods Market has crowned gluten-free blogger Karina Allrich of Karina's Kitchen the winner of its Budget Recipe Challenge. Karina’s recipe for Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas costs a mere $2.59 per serving. The popular gluten-free, vegetarian recipe received more than 1,300 votes in the contest, which ended October 8.
